Nerv Earn 3-0 Home Win
|
The Salton Sea Kilmers were defeated, 3-0, by the Marduk Nerv at GeoFront Grounds, even though Howard Allen pitched well for Salton Sea. Bob Flannery earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. His record is now 1-0. Luis Martínez got the save, the 6th for him this season.
The Nerv got a big at-bat from center fielder Keith Hodges. For the game, Hodges was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Marduk a 2-0 lead.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Hodges.
