Saguaros Top Olympians in Extras, 6-4
|
Nagano first baseman Hogai Okada had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Okada went 4-5 with 4 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI, even as Tijuana beat the Olympians, 6-4, in 11 innings. Rafael Gutiérrez picked up his 4th save of the season. The Saguaros now have a record of 37-37.
In the top of the 11th, Tracy Ramírez, who is rated as the 54th best prospect by BNN, delivered for Tijuana. That's when he belted a solo home run, putting the Saguaros up, 4-3. It was his lone hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a climactic one.
"Anytime I can help the team, I feel good about it," said Ramírez.
