Salton Sea Kilmers starter Tom Arden pitched his team past the Ensenada Las Brujas Malvadas in 13 innings, 2-1. Salton Sea reliever Lorenz Fret was credited with the win. His record goes to 4-4. Tony Baxter took the loss for Ensenada. Today's win puts Salton Sea at 40-34, while Ensenada falls to 30-44.
Salton Sea needed the clutch hitting of Foppe Adriaanse to seal the deal. The third baseman swatted a solo home run in the top of the 13th inning to put the Kilmers on top, 2-1. For the game, Adriaanse had 1 home run and 1 single in 6 at-bats.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Ensenada manager Kenzaburo Sato said, following the tough loss.
