Felipe Díaz had a good game, but he could not keep the Tijuana Saguaros from falling, 4-2, to the Takaoka Shiko at Target Field. The Tijuana designated hitter went 3 for 4 with a home run and a triple. He drove in 2 runs and scored once in the loss. Narihira Ito was the winner. He's now 6-2. The loser was 21-year old left-handed pitcher Keith de Jager. Tokutomi Okumura notched his 18th save of the season.

Takaoka used a well-timed hit by Neel Fransen to capture the win. The catcher socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Shiko ahead, 3-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Fransen told the Takaoka Times.

With the win, Takaoka goes to 41-28, while the Saguaros fall to 25-45.
