Shmoes Squeeze Out Win in Pitching Duel
|
Hurler Min-bum Ch'oe gave the Mexicali Shmoes a solid start. The native of Shihung, Kyonggi helped his team defeat the Nagano Olympians, 1-0, at Nagano Olympic Stadium. The triumph puts Mexicali at 42-26 for the season.
Lewis Millman, who is tied for 8th in the BCL in RBI with 38, had a direct impact on the outcome. Millman contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fourth inning to put Mexicali up, 1-0.
"The old adage is true," said Millman. "Good pitching stops good hitting."
