Kyoto Rallies Past Namuko, 3-2
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Kyoto Rodan and the Namuko Puckmen, Keith Padbury, who is tied for 8th in the RML with a 9.2 K/9 rate, proved to be the difference. The Kyoto left-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-2 Rodan win. Padbury picked up the win for Kyoto, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 5-4. Charlie Conner recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 3 for 3.
Raúl Ortega helped out the Kyoto cause in the top of the eighth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the right fielder drove in one run.
