Plumbers Fight for 1-0 Win
|
The Lincoln Emancipation got a superb performance from pitcher Lu Au. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Yokohama. The Plumbers won the game, 1-0. Au threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. The first-place Plumbers, at 52-39, lead the Rocky Mountain League Pacific by 2½ games.
Yokohama took a 1-0 lead on Myoung-chul Hwang's 2nd home run of the season. The solo home run, which Hwang hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Lincoln pitcher Luca Whiteway visibly frustrated.
"We didn't score," said losing manager Juan Ávila. "That was the problem."
