Rodan Get Clutch Win Versus Provo
|
Getting an impressive start from Mike O'Halloran, Kyoto beat Provo by the score of 1-0. Kyoto reliever Charlie Conner picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Cristián Rodríguez took the loss. Today's win puts Kyoto at 40-48, while Provo falls to 44-44.
The climactic moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Kyoto. That's when 30-year old right fielder Steve Doss hit a solo home run off Cristián Rodríguez to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.
"Mike went out and did what we needed," said Kyoto manager Arnie Miller.
