Late Offense Lifts Namuko to 4-3 Victory
|
The fans at Puckmen Ballpark witnessed quite a game.
Namuko pitcher Wesley Carter did his part in helping his team beat the Lincoln Emancipation, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. César González, who is tied for 10th in the RML in holds with 5, earned the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.1 innings. He upped his record to 1-2.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Namuko trailing 3-2, Yen-ti Wang hit a sinker from António López to right for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Puckmen had a walk-off win.
"Winning is the only objective," said Wang after the game.
The Puckmen raised their record to 41-39.
