Anguirus Take Tight Tangle
In a tight tilt between the Shizuoka Anguirus and the West Valley City Grizzlies, Claudio Casillas was the deciding factor. The Shizuoka right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. The save went to Mal Schmidt, number 3 for him. The last-place Anguirus are now 28-43, the Grizzlies 34-37.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for José Romero? The 24-year old third baseman Romero stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put Shizuoka up, 3-2. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
