Lakota Win with Late Heroics

The Sioux Falls Lakota picked up a win at Lakota Ballpark, knocking off the Henderson Fighting Scotts, 4-3, in 11 innings. On the mound for Sioux Falls was right-hander Mushanokoji Sakurai. He played a pivotal role in the triumph. Arthur Cogan, now 3-4, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. The win makes Sioux Falls 27-31.
The Lakota got a clutch hit from right fielder Victor Brown. In the bottom of the 11th, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Lakota.
"The fans went nuts at the end," Sakurai said.
