Claymores Lose to Hitmen in Walk-Off
|
New Jersey beat Scottish at Mercer County Waterfront Park, eking out a 5-4 win. The win was due in large part to center fielder Tyan-yu Tung. He was 2-3 with 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. The win puts the Hitmen at 31-50, while the Claymores drop to 47-32.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with New Jersey trailing 4-2, Tung hit a fastball from Isei Yano for a 3-run home run, giving the Hitmen the walk-off win.
"It's great when the crowd goes berserk," Tung said.
