Namuko Rallies for 2-0 Win
|
Thornton pitcher Henry Cluett gave the Puckmen all they could handle, but in the end, Namuko left Puckmen Ballpark with a win, 2-0. Cluett allowed no runs on 3 hits over 6.2 innings. Dan Wilson notched the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. His record now sits at 1-0. Namuko sits in third place in the Rocky Mountain League Pacific at 26-33.
Namuko went up, 1-0, on Carlos Mejía's 1st home run of the season. The solo home run, which Mejía hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Thornton pitcher Yorikane Kato shaking his head.
"We didn't score," said losing manager Mark Richardson. "That was the problem."
