Yong-gyu Hak brought his A-game to help Shizuoka defeat the Sioux Falls Lakota, 5-1. Hak yielded 1 run over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 4-4. The 4th-place Anguirus bumped their record to 21-34.

Masutaro Ishihara had a big 2-run home run for the Anguirus in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Shizuoka leading 2-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a cutter from Clifton Welsh, who is tied for 7th in the RML with a 9.0 K/9 rate, and punished it. The result was his 7th home run of the season, which put the Anguirus on top, 4-0.

Ishihara told a Shizuoka Chronicle reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
