The performance of Richard Moss proved critical in helping Mauna Loa beat Maui, 7-4. The Vulcans left fielder was 2-4 with 2 home runs. Mauna Loa goes to 20-15, Maui to 12-23.

Mauna Loa used a timely hit from Motoki Kouda to get the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Vulcans ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Moss said after the game.
