Mahi-Mahi Capture Extra-Inning Win
Maui beat Mauna Loa at Kokua Gardens, escaping with a 5-4 win in 14 innings. The win in large part was due to center fielder Gerardo Muñóz. He was 4 for 6 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Javier Malaparte snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-2 on the season. Shao-qi Bu suffered the loss. The Mahi-Mahi go to 12-22 with the win.

Maui got a clutch hit from António Montés. The first baseman launched a solo home run in the bottom of the 14th inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

Muñóz told a Maui Citizen reporter that he felt "ecstatic" after the win.
