The Shirakawa Halberds defeated the Kauai Monsters, 5-4, at Brewers Ballpark. Shirakawa was led by 21-year old third baseman Blair Vessy, who hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Shirakawa reliever Shane Sheldon snagged the win, upping his record to 2-0. Gene Steele shouldered the loss. With this game in the books, Shirakawa is 15-16, Kauai 6-25.
