The Lana'i City Pineapples topped the Kailua Hanso, 3-1, in Hawaiian League action at Dole Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Lana'i City pitcher Frank Comelay. Juan Ruíz collected his 5th save. The second-place Pineapples lifted their record to 16-13.

Masayuki Ikeda aided the Lana'i City cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the first baseman drew 3 walks.

"Frank pitched like a champ," said Lana'i City manager Dale Orcutt.
