The Mauna Loa Vulcans beat the Atsumi Autobots, 3-2. Mauna Loa pitcher and Fukuoka, Japan, native Manabu Ito led the way. Mauna Loa reliever Beau Myers picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Azeggagh El Kamche was saddled with the loss. Mauna Loa, at 18-8, sits in first place in the Hawaiian League Archipelago.

Tokuhei Kichida was the walk-off hero for Mauna Loa. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Vulcans designated hitter hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.

"This game had its share of tense moments," Kichida said, postgame.
