Loss to Halberds Extends Kilauea Losing Streak
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Shirakawa Halberds and the Kilauea Volcanoes, 22-year old left-handed pitcher Juan González proved to be the difference. The Shirakawa left-hander earned props for his performance in the 2-1 Halberds win. Shirakawa, with the win, sits at 8-16.
José Silva had a direct impact on the outcome. Silva contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the second inning to put Shirakawa up, 1-0.
"It was a hard game, a hard night," said Kilauea skipper Chris Simpson.
