Mokule'ia Wins 4-3 to Continue Red-Hot Start
|
The Mokule'ia Oceanic racked up a win at Lost Island Ballpark, bumping off the Mauna Loa Vulcans, 4-3. Ricardo Torres, who started for Mokule'ia, pitched effectively for his team. Torres, now 3-0, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing 3 runs. Mokule'ia, now 10-3, is playing great baseball to start the year.
Lorenzo Tovar helped out the Mokule'ia cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the third baseman went 3-4 with 2 triples, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
Tovar told reporters after the game: "All's well that ends well."
