The Mokule'ia Oceanic bested the Hilo Hoops by a score of 14-3, with third baseman Joaquín Díaz getting the main credit. On the day, Díaz was 3 for 5 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Oceanic. Mokule'ia, now 7-1, is setting the league on fire so far.

Mokule'ia used a clutch at-bat from Sergio Ruíz to capture the win. The catcher hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Oceanic ahead, 5-3. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"If we keep hitting the ball well, the wins will pile up," said Mokule'ia skipper Pedro Ferringo.
