Kilauea Gets Another L
|
The Ewa Beach Imperialists wanted a good start from Juan Román -- and he delivered one. The result was a 3-2 Ewa Beach win over the Kilauea Volcanoes at Foresters Ballpark. Román, now 1-0, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 4, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. The win gives Ewa Beach a record of 5-3.
Ewa Beach used a clutch at-bat from Manny Muñóz to capture the win. The shortstop hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Imperialists ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"It's going to click," said Kilauea manager Chris Simpson. "It's just a matter of when."
