Eleven Score Decisive 10-1 Win Over Mighty Moose

Not everyone stuck through the 34-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.
The Cold Bay Eleven knocked off the Anchorage Mighty Moose, 10-1, in Alaskan League action at Thunderclouds Ballpark. Cold Bay pitcher and Weston, Massachusetts, native Les Turner had an outstanding performance. In 7 innings, Turner surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run.
Manuel Matos chipped in a 3-run home run for Cold Bay in the bottom of the third. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"Not much to say," Anchorage manager Jason Meléndez said, when asked afterward about the defeat.
Yes, it was a win for Cold Bay; but their 35-73 mark is nothing to crow about.
