The Kenai Traders picked up a win at Capitals Park, defeating the Sitka Capitals, 6-2. Starting pitcher Júlio Vela was an essential part of his team's success. Pedro Quiñones was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 5 of 10 save opportunities. The win hiked the Kenai record to 54-48.

Kenai used a clutch at-bat from Yang-cheng Hsueh to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Traders ahead, 5-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

In postgame comments to the Kenai Chronicle, Hsueh said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
