Fairbanks Tags Taku with 5-2 Defeat
|
The Fairbanks Grunts stymied the Taku Winds, 5-2, at Sullivan Brothers Stadium. Jesús Álvarez had a good day at the plate. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for Fairbanks. With the win, the Grunts improved to 50-50.
Early in the game, Álvarez had a 2-run triple for Fairbanks. It was his 7th triple of the season and put the Grunts on top, 2-0.
