Late Rally by Gunslingers Seals 4th Straight Win
|
Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Dawson City Gunslingers got the win.
Barrow got a valiant performance from pitcher Shane Posey, but it wasn't enough to beat the Dawson City Gunslingers. Dawson City won the game, 4-2. Posey threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. The first-place Gunslingers have won 4 straight.
Dawson City needed the clutch hitting of Zachary Coleman to seal the deal. The first baseman swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Gunslingers on top, 3-2. For the game, Coleman had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"I like seeing our guys get a return on what they've put in," said Dawson City manager Sergio Román.
