The Whitehorse Explorers took on the Fairbanks Grunts at Ballpark of Cave Springs.

Whitehorse Explorers starter Brad Palmer found his groove in his team's 8-3 win over the Fairbanks Grunts. The winning pitcher was Palmer, now 9-3. He tossed 8.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 7.

In the top of the fifth, Hayden Rhodes delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and a runner on 2nd, the Whitehorse second baseman hit a run-scoring single, putting the Explorers in front, 8-3.

Rhodes told a Whitehorse Today reporter that he was "very pleased" with the win.

The Explorers raised their record to 50-43.
