The Angoon Avalanche topped the Cold Bay Eleven, 4-2, in Alaskan League action at Thunderclouds Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of Angoon pitcher Ryuichi Baba. Joeri de Brouwer earned the save, his 10th, for the Avalanche. Angoon is 29-58 and Cold Bay, with the loss, 29-58.

Angoon used a clutch at-bat from Armond Cuzzocrea to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Avalanche ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

Cuzzocrea said afterward that "winning is the goal."
