Taku registered a win at Lions Ballpark by beating the Homer Wallbangers, 5-1. Pitcher Gary Luker was one reason why the Winds triumphed. The save went to Héctor Ramírez, number 3 for him. The Winds now have a record of 36-48.

Taku needed the clutch hitting of Tony Castro to notch the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Winds on top, 2-0. For the game, Castro had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Taku manager Josh Christensen.
