The Akutan Island Eagles defeated the Wasilla Sledge Dogs, 9-3, at Oceans Ballpark. Akutan Island was led by 21-year old first baseman Tim Stevens, who was 2-5 with a home run, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Michael Murdoch, the winner, improved to 2-9. He held the Sledge Dogs to 2 runs on 3 hits over 6.1 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 2. The defeat makes Wasilla 37-39.

In the top of the third, Stevens had a grand slam home run for Akutan Island. It was his 16th home run of the season and put the Eagles on top, 4-0.
