Barrow turned a good performance from starting pitcher Cris Dávila into a 3-2 triumph over the Taku Winds at Ballpark of Carthage. Israhel Wendlinger earned his 7th save, after closing out the game. Barrow is now 36-39, Taku 32-43.
The Winds had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Arctic Blast going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 21-year old right fielder Bryant Allen came to the plate. Allen hit a 2-run double on a 2-2 changeup from Taku hurler Ken Everhart. It was Allen's 3rd double of the year.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Taku manager Josh Christensen.
