Kivalina laid the wood on Kenai at Metros Ballpark.

The Kivalina Bowheads got production from their entire lineup in an easy 16-2 win over the Kenai Traders. Doing his part was right fielder Duane Frederick. Frederick, who is rated as the 50th best prospect by BNN, hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4. Kivalina now owns a record of 44-27.

Kivalina used a clutch at-bat from Goro Sawada to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the first inning to put the Bowheads ahead, 6-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We can't expect to win," said Kenai manager Sammy Brown, "when we play like that."
