The Taku Winds racked up a win at Ballpark of Cave Springs, bumping off the Fairbanks Grunts, 5-4. Mario Barajas, who started for Taku, pitched effectively for his team. Tobei Suzuki nailed down his 1st save. With the victory, the Winds record stands at 27-28.

Taku used a clutch hit from Javier Torres to get the win. The catcher drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Winds ahead, 5-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a doozy.
