Wallbangers Take Down Arctic Blast, 4-2
|
Chris Lithgow, who is tied for 10th in the AL in quality starts with 7, was locked in. The right-hander led the Homer Wallbangers to a 4-2 win against the Barrow Arctic Blast at Ballpark of Carthage. Lithgow picked up the win for Homer, going 6.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 4-1. Homer, at 34-22, is 2 games up in the Alaskan League Oiler.
Homer used a clutch hit from José Silva to get the win. The left fielder drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Wallbangers ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a doozy.
