Eagles Pull Out Late-Game Win, 2-1
Starting pitcher Eric Clark gave the Akutan Island Eagles a rock-solid effort. The Montgomery, Illinois native helped his team defeat the Angoon Avalanche, 2-1, at Enfield Grounds. The winner was Akutan Island reliever Kun Zheng, now 1-0. The loser was Edgar Evans. With the win, the Eagles improved to 18-34.

Josh Forcier, who is tied for 7th in the AL in home runs with 15, took Angoon hurler Edgar Evans deep in the bottom of the eighth. His solo home run put the Eagles on top, 2-1. In all, Forcier had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.

"My gosh almighty, Eric was tremendous," said Akutan Island manager Tomás Mata.
