The Taku Winds earned a close win over the Akutan Island Eagles, thanks in part to Didier Peter. The Taku right-hander, who is tied for 7th in the AL with a 0.91 WHIP, played a key role in the 3-1 victory. Héctor Ramírez earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. His record is now 3-0. Gary Luker collected save number 15.

Taku used the timely hitting of José Navarro to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Winds on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

Said Akutan Island manager Tomás Mata: "We weren't able to do much."

The win makes Taku 21-21.
