The Homer Wallbangers trumped the Taku Winds, 8-3, at Sullivan Brothers Stadium. Homer second baseman Bob Hardy was terrific. He went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. This win makes it 5 in a row for Homer.

With Homer leading 1-0 in the top of the fifth, Hardy hit a fastball from Zhi-peng Zhu for a 3-run home run. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Wallbangers ahead, 4-0.

"We didn't play well enough to win," said Taku skipper Josh Christensen.
