Win Goes to Winds in Tight Contest
The rain did not keep Taku and Cold Bay from finishing their game.

A good performance from left fielder Tony Castro helped the Taku Winds defeat the Cold Bay Eleven, 7-4. Castro hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Winds. Taku reliever Geremia Nebiolo picked up the win to move to 1-0. Henry Wright suffered the loss. Joe Hunt earned the save, his 1st, for the Winds.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Keith Aitcheson? The Taku second baseman had a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Winds on top, 5-4. For the game, Aitcheson had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Anything I can do to help the team win," said Aitcheson.

The 4th-place Eleven have lost 4 consecutive games.
