The rain could not keep the home crowd from enjoying a good ballgame.
Behind an impressive start by Zhi-peng Zhu, Taku beat Barrow, 2-1. In 6.2 innings, Zhu surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 4. He allowed 1 run.
Keith Aitcheson hit a 2-run home run off Carlos Harrell in the bottom of the second, which put the Winds ahead, 2-0. In addition to the homer, Aitcheson had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.
"Scoring was at a premium tonight," Aitcheson said.
With the win, Taku goes to 16-15, while the Arctic Blast fall to 16-15.
