Salmon Rally to Eke Out Win
The Ketchikan Salmon picked up a win at Spectres Ballpark, taking down the Taku Winds, 3-2, in 12 innings. On the mound for Ketchikan was left-hander Justin Smith. He played a central role in the triumph. The Salmon now have a record of 19-8 with the win over Taku.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the 12th for Ketchikan. That's when Ron Arellano hit a solo home run off 20-year old left-handed pitcher Gary Luker to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"The game of baseball will test you," said Ricardo Pérez, the Ketchikan skipper. "This one tested us."
