The Wasilla Sledge Dogs dumped the Cold Bay Eleven, 4-3, in large part due to left fielder Kelly Bruce. On the day, Bruce hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Sledge Dogs. Shan-bo Chong earned the save for Wasilla, his 3rd of the year. The Eleven fall to 9-13 and continue their lethargic start to the 2042 season.

With Wasilla trailing 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Bruce hit a cutter from Ramón Ramírez for a 2-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Sledge Dogs ahead, 3-2.

"You come to the ballpark to do your job and that's what I did today," Bruce told the Wasilla Chronicle.
