Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Cold Bay Eleven and Anchorage Mighty Moose.
The Cold Bay Eleven beat the Anchorage Mighty Moose, 6-4, at Thunderclouds Ballpark. Cold Bay left fielder Chua chay Tung had an outstanding performance. He was 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Júlio Guzmán, now 2-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. Brenton Walker earned the save for Cold Bay, his 3rd of the year.
Tung had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 2-2 circle change from Lance Albracht, he banged a 3-run home run to center, giving the Eleven a 6-4 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Tung.
Cold Bay manager John Robertson commended his team for "banging out a nice win."
Cold Bay now has a record of 9-11.
