Méndez Impressive in 5-2 Kenai Triumph
|
The Kenai Traders converted a terrific effort from starter Manny Méndez into a win over the Skagway Prospectors at Prospector Park. The Traders won the game by a final score of 5-2. The Prospectors fall to 8-11 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2042 season.
In his 91-pitch effort, Méndez allowed no runs on 4 hits over 7.1 innings. He walked 1 and struck out 7.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Méndez told the Kenai Chronicle.
