Waxers Absorb 7-5 Loss at Puckmen Ballpark
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Chandler Waxers and Namuko Puckmen get after it.
Jorge Aguilar powered the Namuko Puckmen to a win over the Chandler Waxers. The final score was 7-5. The Namuko first baseman, who is tied for 10th in the RML in bases on balls with 22, was a force to be reckoned with. He banged out 2 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 1 double. Félix Marín picked up his 2nd save of the season.
Oscar Simons, who is tied for 9th in the RML in home runs with 9, chipped in a 2-run home run for Namuko in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"It was a solid team effort," said Aguilar after the game.
The win puts the Puckmen at 23-31, while the Waxers drop to 28-26.
