San Juan College Oceans Take Round 3 Monday, May 31st , 2038 With a 3-2 win over the Hosei University Avocat tonight at Federals Ballpark, the San Juan College Oceans wrapped up their 2nd title in team history. San Juan College left little doubt who was the better club. "Team" was the word of the day as the Oceans celebrated the culmination of their banner year in the victors clubhouse following the game. "Hitting, pitching, fielding; those are all things you need to win, but most importantly you need a team, a team that works together toward the same collective goal," said San Juan College manager John Roberts. "Our players felt that way all year and they played that way. When one guy had an off day, 24 others stepped up their game and filled the void." A jovial mood filled the air as San Juan College celebrated into the night. The city's mayor said parade plans were underway and a "huge celebration" in the works. "We're going to celebrate our team, our championship San Juan College Oceans," the mayor said. The champions completed the regular season with a first-place finish in the Atlantic League Central America Division and a 30-24 record. View Boxscore |
