Sánchez Strokes 5 Hits Thursday, May 27th , 2038 It was a good day for the Avocat at Ballpark of Kamakura College as they clipped the San Juan College Oceans, 6-3. It was tremendous day for Ismael Sánchez, who was on a hitting barrage at the plate, finishing 5-for-7. "I don't know what to call that," the Hosei University second baseman told reporters after his big performance. "I'm not 'dialed in' or 'in a zone,' I just try to keep it simple. Basically the pitcher throws the ball, I try to pick up the spin, then I hit it. Today I picked up the spin pretty well." Ismael Sánchez singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Hisanobu Takahashi in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Zai-shuo Jin in the 9th, struck out in the 12th and singled in the 14th. For the year Sánchez is batting .232 with 7 home runs, 23 RBIs and 23 runs scored. View Boxscore |
