"We really thought we had the team to get into the playoffs," said catcher Frank Hernández. Before this season, the Persians last missed the playoffs in 2037. In the 33 years they have been a United States Collegiate Baseball Association franchise, they have missed the playoffs 28 times. In the last 10 seasons, the Persians have made the playoffs 3 times. Michigan State last won the USCBA Championship Series in 2036. |
