| Breaking News |  | USCBA COL Top Hitter, 2011 Choice Is Williams Monday, June 13th, 2011: Patrick Williams of the UCONN Klondikes had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Outstanding Hitter Award for 2011.
The 20-year-old right fielder put up a .411 average and a .450 on-base percentage, piling up 76 hits, 15 doubles, 4 triples, 14 home runs, 47 RBIs and 45 runs scored. |  | 2011 USCBA COL Outstanding Pitcher Award Named Sunday, June 12th, 2011: The Villanova clubhouse staff referred to him as "the kid" this season. Next year José Martínez will have to have a new nickname. He earned it after winning the 2011 United States Collegiate Baseball Association Outstanding Pitcher Award.
Martínez made 13 starts this year, winning 9 and losing 3. He threw 89.1 innings, fanned 60, allowed 84 hits and 22 walks, while holding opposing teams to a .248 average as he logged an impressive 2.92 ERA. | | | | |
