Núñez Holds Big Daddies Scoreless Thursday, March 18th , 2038 Iván Núñez of the Villanova Starbursts was on top of his game today. The 19-year-old tantalized the Indiana Big Daddies with crisp curves and changeups, mixed in with just enough fastballs to keep the batters honest and came away with a 5-0 shutout. "He had the changeup working," Indiana manager Parker Cochran said in postgame comments. "You knew it was coming and you still grounded out -- and then he threw it even slower." The Villanova hurler had 6 strikeouts, gave up 2 walks and surrendered 3 hits in his complete-game effort.
